Information about this family tree site

This Family Tree was developed by Takele Kibinad Wassie, the ninth generation descendant of Etege Mintwab, the root of our lineage. I would like to express my sincere gratitude to Ato Teferi Mekonnen, who preserved our family history with great care, documenting it thoroughly and passing it on to the next generation. He gave me with a hard-copy version of the family tree, which I have attached below. More importantly, he gave me the responsibility to find a way to preserve and continue sharing this history with generations to come. I must be honest—my initial idea was to create a family tree website that would transform the hard copy into a digital version, allowing family members to easily access it and find themselves and their children within the tree. For a long time, it remained just an idea. It finally became a reality thanks to the encouragement and motivation of Enqoy Liew. Using the document provided by Ato Teferi Mekonnen, I created this family tree with Etege Mintwab as our founding mother. This Family Tree will continue to grow as our family expands.
